We would suggest wearing long pants, and bringing gloves and water. You can expect to have to watch out for poison ivy, poison itch weed, snakes and spiders. The good thing to know is that venomous snakes do not typically hang out on the shenandoah river and you will most likely be seeing a Northern Water Snake. Not to worry. They are harmless.
Most of our river cleans will be at designated public access points or private access points and no boats or boating knowledge will be needed. We always detail our clean in the days before on Earth Korps' Facebook page. So come on out and help to clean up the Shenandoah River Watershed.
